Communication media has evolved during the years. Starting
with the radio where the voices were the ones who would tell a story, imagination
took place and people loved it. With some special effects created by the same
DJ’s of the time people would be engage to story and later to a product. Later
on, television appeared, changing the world to millions of people around the
world. Who would’ve thought that someday our way to watch a movie, a
commercial, or even someone’s wedding would it be through our phones, laptops,
or computers in any place where we get connected to the Internet.
With the
advancement of technology we can watch television and be entertained anywhere
we go. I believe that today the new television is in our computers, phones, and
why not, on the tablets. Today, most of the social media platforms have an
option that allows people to share videos with the world and companies are
taking advantage of that. Phones and tablets have cameras that can shoot video
and is very helpful to all video enthusiasts to have some fun with their
creativity. People has been getting noticed around the world thanks to the
social media platforms such as: YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, and the newest
version of sharing a 6-7 seconds video, Vines.
All of
these platforms has allowed people to have a career in the entertainment
business, and that is because of the demand that we as customers want to be
entertained. Big companies have hired people from these Vines videos to promote
their product, and that is just in the advertisement world. Movies can be
watched in the computers, phones or tablets as well; Netflix and VUDU to name a
couple, has made that happened to all consumers. The reason I say that all
these gadgets are the new television is because at any moment we can watch a
video; either if it’s at work, during a break, during class, or even at home
even though we have a television in our bedroom or living room.
For us all
video enthusiasts and video professionals we have to think to deliver a video
not only for the big screen or for TV at home but also for a computer or any
other gadget that allows us to watch videos.
Couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteKeeping in mind this is a world wide trend, we just can keep on wondering how video producing will change in a few years.
